Season 6 runner-up Blake Lewis turns 29 today! The beatboxer was one of the first Idol finalists to really change up the songs and make them his own. Blake also sang modern songs when given the option. He only landed in the bottom once before coming in second place.

The debut single off David Archuletas upcoming sophomore album is available for download today. The upbeat track is called Something Bout Love, and the Season 7 American Idol runner-up just finished shooting the music video for it a few days ago. Something Bout Love is off The Other Side of Down, which will be available in stores and online on September 14th.

American Idol Jordin Sparks has two pieces of big news this week: shell be making her debut on Broadway, and she announced her summer headline tour.
Jordin will be joining the 2008 Tony and Grammy Award-winning Best Musical, In The Heights, as Broadways new Nina Rosario. Her Broadway debut moment will happen on Thursday, August 19, 2010. The 20 year old will play a limited 12 week engagement through Sunday, November 14, 2010.
