December is a time for award nominations and year-end lists. Billboard.com has compiled their 2011 year-end charts. An impressive 11 Idol alumi and one judge made the list this year, and most of them appeared on multiple charts. They are: Jennifer Lopez, Scotty McCreery, Kelly Clarkson,Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson, Crystal Bowersox, Daughtry, Josh Gracin, Fantasia, Lauren Alaina, Mandisa, and Jason Castro.

The issue includes "The Year in Charts," and American Idol was at #1 (Wednesday, 23.9 million viewers) and #2 (Thursday, 22 million viewers) in the TV category for "Top Regularly Scheduled Series." Kelly Clarkson releases an exclusive 9 track iTunes Sessions on December 27th. Fans can pre-order the Sessions at iTunes starting today. The 9 track live iTunes Sessions will include 3 songs off of Kelly's latest release, Stronger, as well as a few classics and a bonus recording of "I'll Be Home For Christmas."
