    The first American Idol contestant to ever receive a wild card, RJ Helton, celebrates his birthday today. As part of American Idols first season, RJ was one of five people given a second chance to receive a spot in the finals via the wild card, and with his performance of Stevie Wonders Lately, RJ moved on to the Top 10.     This week, two Season 4 finalists celebrate their birthdays: Nikko Smith and Scott Savol. Ninth place finalist Nikko Smith turned 28 years old on April 28th. The Comeback Kid had a rollercoaster ride on Idols fourth season when he was originally voted off during the semi-finals round. After contestant Mario Vasquez left the competition, Nikko was invited back and made it to ninth place.
