Season 4's American Idol, Carrie Underwood, was nominated for two American Music Awards. She is nominated in the categories of "Favorite Country Music Female Artist" and "Favorite Country Music Album" for her 2009 release, Play On. To date, Carrie has received five American Music Awards.

Season 4 American Idol Carrie Underwood will kick off the fall leg of her highly acclaimed headline arena tour, the Play On Tour, this Saturday, September 25 in Portland, Oregon at the Rose Garden Arena. The tour will play 47 cities before wrapping December 19 in Calgary, Alberta. On Saturday, July 10, 2010, American Idol Carrie Underwood married hockey player Mike Fisher. The two announced their engagement in December, and they became husband and wife at the Ritz Carlton Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Georgia in front of 250 loved ones.
