Season 8 finalist Scott MacIntyre turns 25 today. Just a year ago, the Arizona singer was gearing up to travel the nation with the Season 8 Top 10 Idols, and since then he has released a Christmas EP, an album, and performed on Season 9 of American Idol.
We first met Scott during hometown auditions, when we learned that this legally blind contestant could not only sing, but hes also an amazing piano player and a music scholar. On the show, Scott found success covering songs by Billy Joel and Bruce Hornsby. In December, Scott released a Christmas EP titled Christmas Angel, and he rocked out at Alice Coopers annual holiday show, Christmas Pudding. In March, Scott released his first post-Idol album, Heartstrings, and on its release day, Scott performed on a Season 9 American Idol results show with fellow Season 8 pal Matt Giraud. The 25-year-old will celebrate his birthday in Hawaii with his family.
Happy Birthday, Scott!
At the Season 9 finale, we caught up with Scott on the red carpet and he gave us his best Simon impression. Check it out!
