American Idol Season 5 finalist and country music darling Kellie Pickler celebrated her 24th birthday yesterday. Kellie was introduced to America as the 19-year-old with a big personality and sense of humor, and shes grown up before our eyes. Just last week Kellie announced that shes engaged to songwriter Kyle Jacobs.
The North Carolina native has a busy year ahead of her. In addition to planning a wedding, Kellie is touring the nation with the Rascal Flatts this summer. One of the most successful American Idol alums, Kellie has reached No. 1 on the Billboard charts four times. Her current self-titled sophomore album debuted at #1 on the Billboard Country Album Chart, just like her first album, Small Town Girl.Hernewestsingle, "Makin' Me Fall In Love Again," is the follow-up to her Top 15 hit "Didn't You Know How Much I Loved You." The music video for Makin Me skipped all the way to No. 3 on GACs Top 20 Country Countdown. Of her sophomore albums 10 songs, Kellie wrote five of them, including her first Top 10 single, Best Days Of Your Life, which has amassed over one million digital transactions to date.
In 2010, Billboard.com posted their Top 24 American Idols of All-Time, and Kellie ranked in at number 7. She has shared the stage on tour with Taylor Swift, Brad Paisley, Sugarland, Rascal Flatts, and Alan Jackson.
